The Cellvizio is a device that is used for microscopy at a cellular level during standard endoscopy. Cellular morphology and tissue microarchitecture can be resolved in real time, in addition to dynamic imaging of the normal and pathological vasculature.
Cellvizio advanced technology generates optical biopsies using the world’s smallest flexible microscope, providing clinicians with microscopic images of tissue instantaneously and in a minimally-invasive manner.
Today Cellvizio is used in over 40 countries and 550 clinics worldwide.
This allows us to identify and treat cells changed due to acid reflux before they turn to cancer cells.
An area of interest is identified during an endoscopic procedure. A Cellvizio miniprobe is then introduced in the working channel of an endoscope.
Next the miniprobe appears on an endoscopic image and it is positioned in contact with you cells.. Finally, a Cellvizio video is displayed in real-time.
The images taken using the Cellvizio are sent to a database where the physician will review the results. A follow up appointment will be scheduled with the physician to discuss the plan of action.
Cellvizio is a minimally invasive procedure that can lead to facilities making better decisions in patient management for conditions such as Barrett’s Esophagus and other diseases of the esophagus and stomach.
Cellvizio is a very safe procedure. Please let us know if you are allergic to fluorescein. Having bright green urine for a few hours after the procedure is common and does not need any treatment.
