Who is Dr. Amir Aryaie?
Dr. Aryaie is a board certified surgeon and has completed a Minimally Invasive and Bariatric fellowship at one of the top fellowship programs in the United States at University Hospitals Case Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Aryaie, remains as one of the very few advanced endoscopic surgeons in the entire United States who preform G-POEM aka POP procedure for gastroparesis.

Weight Loss Surgery Questions
What are some of the usual tests before surgery?
A chem panel, complete blood count (CBC), and urinalysis.
Why would I need to have a sleep study?
It depends. A sleep study detects abnormal stoppage of your usual breathing, and it can be associated with an airway bloackage.
Why do I have to have a psychological evaluation?
Psychological evaluation in most cases, is required by insurance.

Questions About Pre-Operative Measures (Before Surgery)
What tests are required before my procedure?
Any pre-operation tests are determined by the physician or anesthesiologist.
Should I arrange transportation to the facility?
Yes. You will not be allowed to drive after surgery. Please arrange for an adult to drive you home and for someone to be with you when you arrive.
What can I eat or drink before the procedure?
Our physicians will notify you of any restrictions prior to surgery.
What about medication and the day of my surgery?
You will be given instructions regarding medications by our physician’s or a staff members.
